Marty S. Cook
Marty S. Cook, 76, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 29 April 2023. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 02 May 2023 at 12:00 PM . Marty graduated from Oak Park High School and Wayne State University. He spent 53 years in the wholesale deli business and currently owned K. Lefkofsky & Vienna. He loved movies and time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Carol (Shapiro): son Adam and fiancée Jane McKenzie, and daughter Stacey, stepson Bradley Manhoff and stepdaughter and son-in-law Jyll and Dr. Andrew Bender: grandchildren Jordan and Abby Manhoff, Luca and Maisie Bender: sister, Francie Cook, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Barbara Cook, mother-in-law Ethel Shapiro, sisters and brothers-in-law Ellen and David Kirsch, Marilyn and Dr. William Kohen, Kaye and Dr. Allen Weinberger, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and customers. Many thanks to Dr. Richard Zekman and the staff at MDAnderson. Marty was the son of the late Oscar and Jeanette Cook, son-in-law of the late Seymour Shapiro, and brother-in-law of the late David Wiener. Family and friends will be gathering on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Religious services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Marty S.
