Peter Julius Trepeck
Peter Julius Trepeck, 82, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, died on 23 March 2023. Peter passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Peter was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Robert and Conalee Trepeck, on May 19, 1940. He grew up with his three brothers, Larry (Sheila), Steven (Donna) and Norman (Debbie). He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Newman, his sons Michael Trepeck (Kristen), David Trepeck, Brian Trepeck and Adam Layne (Sharon), his daughters Nicole Kovacs and Rachel Layne; Peter is also survived by his grandchildren Nolan Trepeck, Ava Trepeck, Madalyn Trepeck, Gabrielle Trepeck, Jayde Latour (Bob), Jake Kovacs, Jayme Kovacs; as well as his K9 babies Wally & Carly. Peter made a profound difference in the lives of everyone who was blessed to have known him. He was a devoted husband and a supportive father, always keeping a calm, unconditional loving presence with him. Peter was a true lover of life - a long-time transcendental (TM)/ “Zen" meditation practitioner and advocate, a technology and gadget aficionado, a dog whisperer and animal lover, an amateur radio hobbyist, a problem solver and an eternal soulmate to his wife Judith. He was truly a kind, generous and chivalrous soul in every sense, always willing to go out of his way or lend a hand at a moment’s notice. A consummate gentleman to all who had the good fortune of meeting him and knowing him. Peter spent his career as a business owner and reveled in his heart from working with his hands, while tirelessly giving of himself to anyone in need. His presence in the lives of those he touched will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will carry on in our hearts for eternity. A Celebration of Life memorial gathering will be held by the family on May 19th.
