Leon Zolkower
Leon Zolkower, 94, of Rockville, Maryland, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died on 27 March 2023. The Funeral was held at The David Oppenheim Memorial Chapel at Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 on Friday, 31 March 2023 at 12:00 PM . Rabbi Michael Moskowitz officiated. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Born in Havana, Cuba in 1928, Mr. Zolkower emigrated to Detroit in 1941. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Barbara, his children Steven (Jan), Nadyne (Harold Linton) and Galit (Bruce Kutz). He was the devoted grandfather to Ronald, Gregory, Joshua, Jonathan, Gabriel, Hallie and their spouses, as well as great-grandfather to Matthew, Ira, Jane, Henry and Avi.
