Phyllis Shy, 86, of Commerce Township, Michigan, died on 26 March 2022. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 28 March 2022 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated. Family members include: Beloved wife of 54 years of the late Leon Shy. Cherished mother of Michael (Lori) Lieberman, Sharon Firsht, Scott Shy, and Faye (Marc) Scher. Adored Grandma of Andrew (fiancée Nora Barnett) Lieberman, Marni (fiancé Josh Glowacki) Lieberman, Alana Lieberman (partner Matthew Rosteck), Matthew (Elizabeth) Firsht, Jennifer Shy and Joseph Shy, Jacob Scher, and Sara (Matthew) Bodzy. Great-grandmother of Alexander and Haley Bodzy, and Ellie Firsht. Loving sister of Ceil (the late Sol) Cicurel, June (the late Seymour) Rubenstein, and Bryan (Diana Trivax) Levy. Dear sister-in-law of Norman (Carolyn) Shy. Shiva will be private. The family is requesting that only those that are fully vaccinated attend the funeral service, and everyone attending is required to wear a mask. Due to a severe flower allergy in the family, please do not send any flowers to the funeral or to the family's home.
