Judee Sue HenckenJudee Sue Hencken, 77, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, died on 01 January 2022. The Funeral was held at Graveside at Adat Shalom Memorial Park, 28500 W 6 Mile Rd, Livonia MI 48152 on Wednesday, 05 January 2022 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Tamara Kolton officiated. Judee Sue Hencken of Grand Rapids died peacefully on January 1st at the age of 77 years old. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 27, 1944 to Jack and Estelle Hencken, Judee was a proud lifelong Michigander, living most of her life in the greater Detroit area. Judee started her career at Sinai Hospital in the Occupational Therapy department. However, Judee is most remembered for her love of and compassion for animals, which led her to spend many years as a professional pet sitter. She also loved her sister-in-law, her nieces and their families, who describe Judee as strong-willed and passionate in her beliefs. Judee is survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Ilene Hencken, nieces, Lori Demeter (Michael), Stacey Hencken (Stephanie Peel), and Shari Kause (Tim). Also survived by grand nephews, Jacob and Ryan Demeter and Dalton Kause. She was preceded in death by siblings Richard and Lynda as well as her parents, Jack and Estelle.
