Ellen had a passion for Michigan and Jewish History. A longtime and passionate supporter of the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan. Ellen served the JHSM in an astonishing number of ways: president (2005-2009), board member, event chair, committee member, docent, tour guide, educator, and more. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 25 people inside and 50 at graveside.

For now, in-person funeral attendance will be limited to only immediate family. Otherwise, funerals may be viewed live and recorded on chapel websites.

Together, we thank the community for understanding during this unusual and challenging time.
