FUNERAL DETAILS
Edythe B. MazurEdythe B. Mazur, 93, of West Hills, California, died on 22 January 2021. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Sunday, 31 January 2021 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi David Nelson officiated. Click to watch a video of the recorded service. Edythe was born in 1927 and grew up in the Detroit area. She graduated from Central High School in 1945 and Michigan State University in 1949. She was a long time member of Congregation Beth Shalom and active in Sisterhood. She was also part of a 4-generation of Lifetime Members in Hadassah along with her mother, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. Edythe is survived by her sons Elliott (Linda), Glenn (Mayumi) and Jeffrey (Leslie Cherney); grandchildren Michael, Jonathan, Jessica, Cynthea, and Ken; great-grandchildren, Emilie, Alex, Teddy, and Ava. She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Mazur and mother-in-law of the late Lynne Mazur. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 25.
