Beloved husband of Rita Lindemann. Cherished father of Jeffrey (Rebecca) Lindemann and Matthew (Lindsay) Lindemann. Loving grandfather of Ethan and Brooke Lindemann, and Valerie and Marissa Lindemann. Adored brother of Deborah Lindemann Habel and Kimberly Mason.

Dr. Michael Lindemann graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Zoology, did research at Parke-Davis in inflammatory drugs, and received his DDS, with honors, from the University of Detroit Dental School. After two years in the U. S. Air Force as a Captain, he returned to the University of Michigan to complete his endodontic specialty training, earning a Masters degree. He established his endodontic practice in Flint, MI in 1978 where he worked for 41 years, the last 13 years alongside his son Matthew. He taught endodontics at the University of Michigan as an adjunct clinical professor in the graduate department for several years beginning in 1991 and was the alumni chairman for the department for 10 years. He was a delegate to the House of Delegates of the Michigan Dental Association and had been an active committee member for over 20 years of the Association’s Insurance and Financial Group. He chaired Michigan’s State Board of Dentistry’s Endodontic Licensing Committee for several years and was an examiner. He was a past president of the Michigan Association of Endodontists, having been a Board Member for over 35 years. Nationally, he has served as a board member of the American Association of Endodontists and has been a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontists since 1983. He was inducted into the honorary societies of the International and American Colleges of Dentists as well as the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Michael was an active member of the Flint Rotary and never missed a meeting. He loved to travel, ski, scuba dive, and was an avid biker. Michael enjoyed his summer home on Lake Michigan and driving his boat. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his family and his beloved poodles. He will be lovingly remembered by many colleagues and friends.

Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 18.

For now, in-person funeral attendance will be limited to only immediate family. Otherwise, funerals may be viewed live and recorded on chapel websites.

Together, we thank the community for understanding during this unusual and challenging time.
