Family members include:
Beloved husband of Pauline Schwartz for 74 years. Survived as well by his daughter Sue (Jeff) Hoffman, daughter-in-law Debbie Schwartz, and his sister Helen Grubner. Devoted grandfather of Dr. Brian Schwartz (Dr. Laura Pincus), Andrea (Dan) Wald, Karen Schwartz (Daniel Lederman), Steven Schwartz (fiancee Gehang Zhou), Eric (Morielle) Hoffman, and Alex (Natasha) Hoffman. Adored great-grandfather of Hannah and Miles Schwartz, Madeline and Mikayla Wald, and Jonah and Ethan Lederman. He is predeceased by his sons Michael and Jerry, and his siblings David Schwartz, Joseph Schwartz, Hy Schwartz, Lillian Feldman, and Evelyn Levenson, as well as his parents, Sam and Sadie Schwartz.

A hard worker who served his country and community, he is also remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families, as well as friends from Alma, Metro Detroit and beyond.

Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 25.

For now, in-person funeral attendance will be limited to only immediate family. Otherwise, funerals may be viewed live and recorded on chapel websites.

Together, we thank the community for understanding during this unusual and challenging time.
