David Marcus
David Marcus, 76, of Southfield, Michigan, died on 02 November 2020. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE on Wednesday, 04 November 2020 at 11:00 AM . Rabbi Robert Gamer and Cantor Samuel Greenbaum officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Family members include: Loving husband of Ruth Miller Marcus for 52 years. Father of Howard P. (Tracy) Marcus, Michael A. (Katie) Marcus, and Lauren M. (Rick) Johnson. Adored Saba of Sydney and Ari Marcus; Hannah, Nili, Shaylee, and Kima Marcus; and Ethan, Isabel and Olivia Johnson. Also survived by sister Ellen R. Marcus, and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Irving and Sarah M. Marcus. David, a Naval Reservist, was called to active duty during the Vietnam War and was a member of the commissioning crew of the USS John F. Kennedy, CVA-67. The family will be sitting shiva at home in Southfield, MI. Close friends of the family may contact Howard Marcus for further information. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 36.
