Martin Siegel Mayer



Martin Siegel Mayer, husband, father, uncle and grandfather age 93 passed away in his sleep Saturday, February 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A Memorial Service celebrating Marty's life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updates.

Marty lived a long and active life. Was a great teller of stories. World War ll Veteran, University of Michigan alumni, Lifelong Mason, VP and General Manager of the former woman’s clothing company, B. Siegel’s. He enjoyed golf, skiing, traveling, his weekly poker games and was an avid tennis player. In addition he never gave up on the Detroit Tigers, and Lions.

Marty alongside his wife Sally, donated to numerous charitable causes within the greater metro Detroit area.

Preceded in death by his wife Sally of 63 years. He is survived by his children Michael, Ruthie (John Murphy), and Carrie. His two grandchildren Calissa Mayer and Jacob Murphy. In addition, our dear friend Kim Waples and her two children.
