Ruby Ellen Mogill Newman-PeckRuby Ellen Mogill Newman-Peck, 97, of Charleston, West Virginia, died on 02 January 2018. The Funeral was held at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, West Virginia on Thursday, 04 January 2018 at 3:00 PM . Interment at B'nai Jacob Eternal Home Cemetery, Charleston, West Virginia . The family of Ruby Ellen Mogill Newman-Peck will gather on Sunday, January 7th, beginning at 2:00 p.m. through the evening, at the residence of Sara and Michael Frank, 2818 Baltane Road, West Bloomfield MI 48323. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Ruby Ellen Mogill Newman-Peck, aged 97, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018 in Charleston, West Virginia. Ruby was born in Athens, Alabama to Sol Mogill and Tillie (Simon) Mogill, and was the youngest of eight siblings. She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Newman, M.D., and the late Alfred Peck. She is survived by her children, Harold Newman of Charleston; Stephen (JoAnn) Newman of Elyria, Ohio; and Sara (Michael) Frank of West Bloomfield, Michigan. Grandmother of Jeremy (Rachel), Jason (Joyce Farley) and Melissa (Sariel Birnbaum) Newman; and Daniel (Marci) and Amy Frank (Ed Mitchell). Great grandmother of Elijah Newman and Ethan Frank, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ruby was a longtime resident of Charleston, active in many capacities over 70 years at B’nai Jacob Synagogue, at Thomas Memorial Hospital where her husband Ben was director of the laboratory, and with many charitable and civic organizations throughout the community. Her life was enriched by the loving care of her dedicated caregivers, Sheri Barker, Terri Estep, Anna Schultz and Brandi Goff and their families.
