ABOUT US (Chad Techner)
The Founder's great-grandson began his association with THE IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL by helping out on the weekends as a grade schooler and later as a part-time assistant while in high school.
He earned an economics degree from Western Michigan University and later studied at Western Culinary Institute.
Chad brings a diverse business and customer service that includes direct consumer sales and running an in-home catering business "Gourmet To You." He is a founding partner of Scratch Golf, a worldwide golf club manufacturer established in 2003, with his older brother, Ari, and two others.
He relocated back to Metro Detroit to help lead the Chapel into the future.
Reflection: "As a member of the fourth generation of this family business, I am honored to work at the Chapel as it enters its eight decade. I look forward to being here to celebrate its 100th Anniversary of service to our community."
