FUNERAL DETAILS
Dr. Jerome Israel MillmanDr. Jerome Israel Millman, 82, of Pasadena, California, died on 14 August 2016. The Funeral was out of state on Saturday, 20 August 2016. The family of Dr. Jerome Israel Millman will be gathering on Sunday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the residence of his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Doreen Millman, 31935 W. 14 Mile Road, #123, Farmington Hills, MI 48334. The phone number is 248-432-7412. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Jerry was a devoted husband to his wife, Dr. Felicitas, (Fely) A. dela Cruz. They met in 1972 and were blessed to have enjoyed a loving and fulfilling marriage for nearly 40 years. Jerry was also an avid cyclist, cycled on extended cross-country trips, and was a member of a the "Old Cranks" Cycling club, where he formed close friendships, and loved spending many of his retirement days on one of his bikes with his cycling buddies. Jerry was well known for his quick wit, intelligence, generosity, and loving nature. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and he will be missed greatly by his family, friends, and cycling buddies! He actively supported causes engaged in seeking justice, civil rights, and environmental conservation. Jerry was born on April 19, 1934 to Louis Millman and Sara Michaels in Detroit, MI, where he grew up. He attended both undergraduate and medical school at the University of Michigan. He enjoyed a successful and distinguished career as an anesthesiologist, and retired in 1996 from Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA, where he had worked for 20 years. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; late wives, Audrey Sinclair Millman of Ann Arbor, MI and Dena Shevitz Millman of Los Angeles, CA; and his son, Martin (Marty) Neil Millman of Atlanta, GA. In addition to being survived by his wife, Fely, Jerry is also survived by his daughter, Elissa Millman of New Orleans, LA; daughter-in-law, Zorrest Pennell Millman of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Meleigha Millman, of Athens, GA; grandson, Martin Brant Millman of Savannah, GA; brother, Stanley Millman and wife, Doreen of Farmington Hills, MI; sister, Elinor Millman Bernstein and husband, Howard of Lake Worth, FL; and many nieces and nephews across the country. Survived locally by nieces Sarah Berstein Kravitz and Lori Millman Orel.
