Marilyn Soble



Marilyn Soble, 83, of Orchard Lake, Michigan, died on 20 June 2016.

The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Wednesday, 22 June 2016 at 1:00 PM .

Rabbi Steven Rubenstein officiated. Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

The family of Marilyn Soble will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, June 26 at the residence, 3819 La Playa Lane, Orchard Lake MI 48324. The phone number is 248-683-4364.

The family invites friends to visit on Wednesday immediately following the interment service and on Thursday beginning at 2:00pm.

Religious services will be conducted at 7:00 Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The family will be informally gathering on Friday and Sunday beginning at 2:00pm.

Marilyn Soble has ascended to that special realm and has been given the opportunity to train apprentice angels in the categories of unconditional love and true goodness. This truly remarkable woman, who loved and was loved, was greatly admired for her gentle kindness and understanding of the human conditional, which enabled her to share her wisdom of life helping so many people in need of her guidance.

Marilyn's strong desire to assist those in need brought her to National Council of Jewish Woman CASA program,where she became an advocate for abused children. where she devoted much of her time, and yet was able to create a family atmosphere that would be the pride of any mother. She was also a staunch supporter of Hadassah and JARC. Marilyn also supported and assisted in fund raisings for JARC and the Kids Altogether Program at the JCC. Because of her extraordinary artistic talent and true love of the arts she enjoyed her role as a co chair person with her husband Jerry in the cultural arts department at the Jewish Community Center for many years, giving of her resources and well as her personal efforts.

She was also an astute and kind business woman and worked as a decorator and buyer for her husband's furniture store. She also ran a successful children's clothing store with her mother Goldie, and later on she also became co-owner of a busy travel agency along with a childhood friend, Ruth Katz. All this activity while still raising an active family of four children, and being the perfect daughter, sister, aunt. and friend to so many people. All of her involvements left lasting loving impressions with the people who had the good fortune of sharing their life with her.

Her passing is mourned by her husband Jerry Soble. Children Michele (Dr. Kal Klass) Soble, Mitchel Soble, Melissa (Howard Deitch) Soble, Marc (Sue Bruss) Soble. Grandchildren Erin (Ray) Fleshman, Kati Eisenberg, Abigail Soble, Oliver Soble, Lilly Soble. Great-grandson Benjamin Fleshman.

She was the daughter of the late Irving and Goldie Waxman and the daughter-in-law of the late Goldie and Harold Soble. She was the sister of the late Jerry and the late Blossom Waxmam. The sister-in-law of Doree Soble, the late Kenneth Soble, and the late Dr. Allen Soble.

She was the adored aunt of David and Lisa Waxman, Allison and Mathew Waxman, Marcy and Greg Kuehnle, Sara and Sam Kuehnle, David and Shelly Soble, Noah and Zoe Soble, Heidi Soble, A.J. Soble, Staci and John Weyer, Hannah, Rebecca, and Alana Weyer, Ryan and Jennifer Soble, Jack and Charlotte Soble, Brett and Christina Soble, Rocco and Gianna Soble, Richard and Irene Soble, Jennifer and Sherri, and Mindy and Ralph Greenberg.

Marilyn has left an unforgettable loving image with a myriad of relatives, friends, and business associates from childhood on. She will be missed by so many who have been touched by her presence.
