Morton Robert Horwitz
Morton Robert Horwitz, 94, of West Bloomfield, MI, formerly of New Haven, CT, died on 05 June 2016. The Funeral was out of state on Tuesday, 07 June 2016 at 10:00 AM . The family of Morton Robert Horwitz will be gathering through the evening of Thursday, June 09 at the residence of Arthur and Gina Horwitz, 5465 Pond Bluff Court, West Bloomfield MI 48323. The family will be receiving guests beginning at 4 pm on Wednesday. On Thursday friends are welcome any time after 10 am. Religious services will be 7:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Family members include: Beloved husband of the late Sally Horwitz. Cherished father of Arthur (Gina) Horwitz, Dr. Leonard (Marilyn) Horwitz and Laurie Ellen (Daniel) Duhan. Loving Papa of Rabbi Daniel (Miriam) Horwitz, Adam (Sheri) Horwitz, Stephanie Horwitz, Chaya Sarah (David) Zomber, Dov Horwitz, Michael Horwitz, Ari Horwitz, Chanie (Ari) Friedman, Judy (Eli) Greenfield, Sam (Orly) Glowitz, Andrew Duhan and Alison Duhan. Proud great-grandfather of Avi, Rachel, Leah, Yitzhak, Aaron, Esther and Batsheva Zomber, Devorah, Zev and Avi Friedman, Devorah Greenfield, Jonah and Benjamin Horwitz. He was pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law, Rochelle Horwitz. Dear brother of the late Harold Horwitz and the late Sidney Victor. Devoted son of the late Samuel and the late Sarah Horwitz. Also survived by his loving companion, Bea Sonders. There will be a funeral on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, located at 543 George Street, New Haven, CT 06511.
