Rachel Jacobs, 39, of New York, New York, died on 12 May 2015. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 18 May 2015 at 10:00 AM . Rabbi Arturo Kalfus and Cantorial Soloist Kelly Onickel officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
The family of Rachel Jacobs will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, May 20 at the residence of John and Gilda Jacobs, 8353 Hendrie Blvd., Huntington Woods MI 48070. Family members include: Beloved wife of Todd Waldman; Adoring mother of Jacob Kody Waldman; Cherished daughter of John and Gilda Jacobs; Dear sister of Jessica and Joshua Steinhart; Daughter-in-law of Bruce Waldman, Elizabeth Waldman and Linda Waldman; Sister-in-law of Andrew Waldman and Tiffany Brown; Proud aunt of Lyle Steinhart, Bobby, Alec and Arianna Brown; Much loved granddaughter of the late Hyman and the late Lillian Zalenko, the late Gilberta and the late Morton Jacobs; Niece of Karen and Robert Wildau, Elizabeth Jacobs and Charles Jacobs; Also survived by many loving cousins and a world of friends. A MEMORIAL TRIBUTE SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE AT 11:00 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING, MAY 16TH IN THE CHAPEL AT THE HEBREW UNION COLLEGE-JEWISH INSTITUTE OF RELIGION, 1 WEST 4TH STREET, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, 10012. THE SERVICE WILL BEGIN AT 11:00 A.M. WITH DOORS OPENING AT 10:00 A.M. Rachel's family kindly requests that any gifts in her memory be made to Columbia Business School; the family would like to create a scholarship for students in her name, with preference for aspiring female social entrepreneurs.
