Helene Schoenfeld Westerman
Helene Schoenfeld Westerman, 96, of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of West Bloomfield, MI, died on 17 April 2015. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE . Family members include: Beloved wife of the late A. Marvin Westerman. Cherished mother of Michael Joseph (Pattie) Westerman and the late Stephen Lawrence Westerman. Loving grandmother of Deborah (Eric) Schiffer, Rochelle Westerman, David Westerman, Amanda Westerman (Matt) Christopher and Joshua Westerman. Proud great grandmother of Sarah, Emily, Zoe and Jillian. Dear sister of Rose (Art) Ross, Bill (Rosalie) Schoenfeld and Arnie (the late Connie) Schoenfeld. Also survived by Dolores Westerman and other loving relatives and friends. In her early life, Helene loved square dancing with her husband, Marv, and enjoyed all kinds of music. She worked for the city of Detroit and lived and loved it there. When she retired, she always found herself in the hub of the Jewish community, from Southfield to West Bloomfield. She loved volunteering, reading and gardening. Family was the most important thing to her. She was caring, thoughtful, kind to everyone, giving even when she had nothing, and very active.
