Herbert N. Reinheimer



Herbert N. Reinheimer, 93, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 11 June 2014.

The Memorial Service was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Sunday, 15 June 2014 at 1:30 PM .

Rabbi Daniel B. Syme and Cantorial Soloist Rachel Kalmowitz officiated.

The family of Herbert N. Reinheimer will be gathering through the evening of Monday, June 16 at the residence of Nancy and Joel Kaufman, 5075 Silverwood Drive, West Blomfield MI 48322. The phone number is 248-661-2092.

Due to Father's Day the family will not have services Sunday, but friends are welcome to visit following the burial at Beth El Memorial Park through Sunday evening and will be gathering on Monday from 12 noon through the evening with a service at 7:30 P.M. Monday Evening.

Family members include:
Beloved husband of 66 years of the late Dorothy Semelisky Reinheimer; Cherished father of Margery Reinheimer, Gary (Arlene) Reinheimer, Nancy (Joel) Kaufman and Steven (Deborah) Reinheimer; Loving Grandpa of Shelby Kaufman, Carly Kaufman, Jacob Kaufman, Julie Reinheimer, Daniel Reinheimer, Jonathan Reinheimer and Benjamin Reinheimer. Devoted son of the late Herbert Reinheimer and the late Florence Reinheimer. Dear brother of the late Ruth R. Rothschild and the late Alan C. (the late Bernice) Reinheimer. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Lieutenant in the Pacific during World War II. A CPA for over 40 years, primarily with the firm of Reinheimer & Lederman and also BDO Seidman. He was the Past Commodore of both the Great Lakes Yacht Club and the Detroit River Yachting Association. He sailed in more than 25 Port Huron-to-Mackinac yacht races.
