FUNERAL DETAILS
J. Leonard Hyman J. Leonard Hyman, 89, of Birmingham, MI, died on 19 July 2011. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 25 July 2011 at 10:00 AM . Rabbi Tamara Kolton officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Family members include: Beloved husband of Virginia Hyman. Cherished father of Shelley Rosenfeld, Douglas (Margo) Hyman, Roger Hyman, Jeffrey Hyman, Peter (Jennifer Geismar) Hyman and Carone (James) Dutz. Loving grandfather of Sasha Hyman, Mackenzie Hyman, Jakob Dutz, Siena Dutz, Nathaniel Hyman and William Hyman. Dear brother of the late Shirley Gold. Mr. Hyman earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1944, followed by his Juris Doctor in 1947. Following law school, he accepted a position as judicial clerk to the Honorable Justice Bushnell in the Supreme Court of Michigan. Along with a distinguished legal career, Mr. Hyman served as a member of the Michigan Board of Law Examiners, the Board of Directors for the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and the Barrister's Society. He earned a multitude of awards, honors and distinctions, including the Robert P. Hudson Award from the State Bar of Michigan. Those who wish to share a memory or thoughts they have about J.
