The family of William "Bill" Goodman will be gathering through the evening of Monday, November 20 at the residence of Julie Hurwitz, 1930 Balmoral Drive, Detroit MI 48203 . Family and friends will be gathering on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Religious services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Bill was the cherished father of Amy Goodman (Mark Blade), Michael Goodman (Miranda Johnson), David Goodman (Jennifer Bowman), Jacob Hurwitz-Goodman (Meg Urisko), Nicholas Hurwitz-Goodman and Daniel Hurwitz-Goodman. Treasured grandfather of Ben Blade, Sadie Blade, Nola Goodman, and Louis Goodman. Dear brother of Dick Goodman. A lifelong fighter for justice and tireless warrior for the underdog, he is survived by his loving companion, Susan Gzesh, Julie Hurwitz (mother of three of his children and long-time law partner), and Jane Goodman (mother of his three eldest children). Dear son of the late Ernie and the late Freda Goodman. Also survived by a constellation of loving family members, coworkers, friends, bartenders, musicians, artists, clients, and admirers. He brought joy and light to everyone in his world. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date in 2024.
