The Funeral was held at The Davidson/Hermelin Chapel at Clover Hill Park, 2425 14 Mile Rd, Birmingham MI 48009 on Monday, 16 January 2023 at 2:30 PM.
Rabbi Joseph Krakoff officiated.

The family of Sherry Kaye will be gathering through the evening of Monday, January 16 at the residence of Marcy Tucker Colman, 7215 Edinborough, West Bloomfield MI 48322 .
Religious services will be held on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Sherry had a long and varied career, moving to New York and performing as the featured vocalist with several major orchestras. She transitioned into musical theatre performing in Babes in Arms, Make a Million, and starring roles in Kiss Me Kate, Flower Drum Song, Pal Joey, Fiorello, Bells are Ringing, and Guys and Dolls. Sherry returned to Detroit and enjoyed a successful career in television and radio, including developing and hosting the first “Lady in the Locker Room” sports program. She also had a successful career in public relations serving as the Director of Public Relations for General Motors’ New Departure Hyatt Division and later forming her own agency, Sherry Kaye & Associates. Sherry’s first love was singing, and she spent the last 20 years teaching singing and the performing arts.
Sherry was the devoted daughter of the late Ruth (Ekelman) Kaye and loving sister of the late Faylene Owen and sister-in-law of Larry Owen. She is survived by her niece Cindy (Steven) Hughey; nephew, Marc Curtis; grandniece, Jennifer (Eric) Ross; grandnephew, Eric (Robyn) Hughey; two great-grandnieces, Isla Ross and Rosie Fay Hughey; and two great-grandnephews, Gavin Ross and Cooper Hughey; and other loving family and friends.
