Ruthven "Rudy" Simons
Ruthven "Rudy" Simons, 95, of Southfield, Michigan, died after sunset on 16 November 2024. The Memorial Service was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 19 November 2024 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Jeffrey Falick officiated. Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.The family of Ruthven "Rudy" Simons will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, November 20 at the residence, 20181 Forestwood St., Southfield MI 48076. Family and friends will be gathering on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Each evening from 7:00-7:30 p.m. music by Rudy Simons will be performed by Jon Milan. Due to food allergies in the family, please do not send any food to the shiva house. Ruthven “Rudy” Simons, 95, of Southfield, Michigan, died peacefully in his home on November 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 36 years of Roseanne; loving father of Joshua (Daniela Cappelli) and Eli; adoring grandfather of Sidney and Ruben; he is survived by his sons of the heart, Morris (Disha Subramaniam) Fabbri and Tony Fabbri; cherished uncle of Seymour (MaryAnn) Schwartz, Ruth (Marty) Seltzer, Mindy Schwartz, Laura Lampert, David (Andrea) Lampert, Lisa Lampert Ziperski, Mark Lampert, Claudia Lampert, and the late Oscar Schwartz. Mr. Simons was the beloved son of the late Seymour and the late Ruth Simons and brother of the late Shirley (the late Charles) Schwartz and the late Sarah (the late Seymour) Lampert. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to thank his devoted caregivers, Ronda and Carol.
