Michael Gene Freedman
Michael Gene Freedman, 71, of Alexandria, Virginia formerly of Oak Park, Michigan, died on 18 September 2023. The Memorial Service was held at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323 on Friday, 22 September 2023 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Harold Loss officiated. The family of Michael Gene Freedman will be gathering through the afternoon of Sunday, September 24 at the residence of Ellen and Cary Adelman, 14790 Borgman St., Oak Park MI 48237. Family and friends are welcome Friday following the service (3:30 p.m.). On Saturday family and friends will gather 12:00-5:00 p.m. and again 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday Shiva will be 12:00-3:00 p.m. Family members include: Michael leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Renee (Lacoff) Freedman, sons Brian (Erin Connolly) of Kennett Square, PA and Danny (Angela Delaney) of Memphis, TN. He also leaves behind his most adored grandchildren, Ella, Andrew, Izzy, Nora, and Dominick. He also leaves his brother, Larry (Mimi) and the late Barry (Sandra). Devoted son of the late Belle and the late Hymen Freedman. Michael is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a world of friends he has met along the way in his radio and university careers.
