Israel Yehudah Ariel Browner, 85, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 13 May 2023.

The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Wednesday, 14 June 2023 at 10:00 AM .

Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated.

Family members include:
Israel Yehudah Ariel Browner, 85, was born on April 17, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of the late Corrinena (Washington) Browner and William Ellingsworth Browner. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Rachel Browner, brothers, William E. Browner Jr., Barney D. Browner Sr., and sisters Wanda N. High, Sheila Fitten, and Nancy Moore. Israel graduated Miller High School and attended Highland Park Community College. He retired from the City of Detroit after 35+ years as a Plumbing Inspector and worked as a licensed contractor (Browner Plumbing) and a Master (Journeyman) Plumber for the Plumbers Local Union 98. He was a military service veteran that served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. Israel thoroughly enjoyed giving and gave to many local charities, family, and friends. He often fed the ducks with his children whom he loved. He enjoyed nature, writing, collecting coins, and delving into the stock market along with various other investments. Israel also enjoyed acting at the Detroit Repertory Theatre. He was known as a hard worker, but most of all loved God and enjoyed reading His word. At an early age Israel was baptized in the church of his father, Second Baptist Church of Detroit, and later studied Catechism. For the past 50 years he devoted his life to Judaism and attended Beth Achim Synagogue and was a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue. Cherished memories of Israel Browner will forever nestle in the hearts of: sons, Michael Milton (Dawn), Thomas Browner Jr., William Browner (Eliana), Tnyland/Tylon Browner (Laura), Lonne Browner, Pele Browner and daughters, Lonna Horner (Chris) and Deidra Banks (Wyatt). Grandchildren: Terrance Milton, Najee Milton, Mikayla Pruitt, Christopher Milton, Matthew Browner, Christian Browner, Maya Browner, Mia Browner, Jalen Browner, Elaine Browner, Haley Horner, Casey Horner, Sebastian Horner, Robin Horner, Chance Banks (Taylor), Kennedy Patterson (Jonathon) and 4 great-granddaughters. Siblings to mourn: Dr. Carolyn B. Kiah. Special Kindships: Barbara Milton, Cynthia Browner, Jeannette Browner, Marilyn Sherrell, Kelly Monroe, James Fitten Sr., and James Gray. A host of over 175 beautiful nieces and nephews and many loving, supportive extended relatives and friends.
