Nicolas "Nick" Gilbert
Nicolas "Nick" Gilbert, 26, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, died on 06 May 2023. The Funeral was held at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323 on Tuesday, 09 May 2023 at 1:00 PM . Rabbi Harold Loss, Rabbi Paul Yedwab, Rabbi Joshua Bennett, Rabbi Jennifer Lader, Cantor Michael Smolash, and Cantor Neil Michaels officiated. Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
Click here to view a recording of Nick’s funeral service. After a lifelong, courageous battle with Neurofibromatosis (NF1), Nick died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Family members include: Beloved son of Daniel and Jennifer Gilbert. Cherished brother of Grant, Gracie, AJ, and Nash Gilbert. Adored grandson of Shirley and the late Samuel Gilbert, Murk Goddard, and Pamela and Robert Feldman. Special nephew of Gary and Charlotte Gilbert, Kevin and Robin Goddard, Andrea Gilbert, Richard and Patti Gilbert, Paul and Desiree Marz, and Alicia Fox. He is also survived by many loving cousins, friends, and devoted doctors, nurses, and caregivers. Family and friends will be gathering on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323. Religious services will be held each evening at 7:00 p.m. The family will not be gathering on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon at the residence.
