Joel Colman![]() Joel Colman, 63, of Cascais, Portugal, formerly of Southfield, MI, died on 22 April 2023. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Tuesday, 25 April 2023 at 12:30 PM . Click ![]() The family of Joel Colman will be gathering through the evening of Tuesday, April 25 at the residence of Jon and Suzi Colman, 3280 Mimosa Street, Commerce Township MI 48390. Family and friends will be gathering on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m and from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Religious services will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Joel Colman of Cascais, Portugal, formerly of Southfield, MI, passed peacefully surrounded by family on April 22, 2023 after battling cancer for several months. He is survived by his beloved mother, Harriet Colman, his sister, Jill (Paul) Ruskin, and his brothers, Jonathan (Suzi) Colman and Jeffrey (Ellen Nissenbaum) Colman. Joel was predeceased by his late father, Albert M. Colman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Samuel (Chagit) Ruskin, Shoshana (Ari Lev Fornari) Ruskin, Avital Ruskin, Jessica (Eric) Cheng, Zack (Bina) Colman, Jeff (Hien) Ferber, Sandy (Chris) Brine, Nora (Jakob Cohen) Colman and Gabriel Colman. He is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. Joel is also remembered by a large circle of devoted friends. He loved his dogs, Roscoe and Toby and was a loving, caring, generous and thoughtful person. Joel had a successful career, working for more than 35 years for American Express before retiring to Portugal.
