Debbie spent her professional life in medicine healing others. She was a nationally Certified Physician Assistant and dearly loved her profession. A personal passion was ballroom dancing where she competed, and won, many trophies. Another passion was rescuing dogs, and she had a dog the majority of her life. She recently lost Cuddles to a heart condition and previously lost Mister Bubbles to cancer. She had Mister Bubbles for many years, and he was probably her favorite companion of all time. She loved to travel, visiting many exotic places, yet her trip to Israel was most memorable. Debbie was married twice. First to Robert Jacobs of Southfield, MI, and later to Dr. John (Jack) Chiles, Colonel, U.S. Army in Washington, DC. Debbie is survived by her mother, Wanda Lack (95), her sister Brenda Russell, and Brother Ed Atkin all of Sarasota, FL. Her other brother, Fred Atkin of Detroit, MI is deceased. She has four nieces and nephews: Fred Atkin, Shelby Russell, Jennifer Crockett, and Christopher Atkin. Plus, several great-nieces and great-nephews.
