Karen Leah Paull

Karen Leah Paull, 82, of Wellington, Florida, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died on 22 November 2022.

Funeral Services for Karen Leah Paull will be held at 9:30 a.m. (EST) Sunday, November 27th for all family and friends to attend. Click here to join the live stream from The Gardens of Boca Raton.

Karen Leah Paull, 82, of Wellington, FL, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2022, surrounded by her daughters after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie and Tracey Litt; grandchildren, Joshua, Alexandra, and Zola; brother and sister-in-law, Mark Mellen and Linda Weiss; cousins, Nancy, Harold, Beth, Deanne, Alan, and Marsha; countless friends and family and her devoted little dog, Nikki. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Paull, in 2020.

Karen was born in Detroit, MI, on October 9, 1940, and raised, along with her brother Mark, by their parents, Estelle and Bernie Mellen. She was blessed with two daughters from her first marriage to Richard Litt and delighted in her role as a mother. Professionally, she worked in the interior design industry and had impeccable taste. In early retirement, she and Jerry found a way to combine their love of music and charitable interests and launched a new business venture as concert promoters. They promoted shows throughout South Florida with a portion of proceeds to benefit the Pap Corps - Champions For Cancer Research. She was best known for her quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and generous spirit. She loved knitting blankets for her family, watching “her shows,” shopping at TJ’s and Marshalls with her best friend, Sharon, and playing Rummikub and cards with her girlfriends. She relished her role as “Nana” and was so proud of her children and grandchildren and never let anyone forget that. She literally lived for family.
She lit up every room she entered and was the sun her loved ones orbited around. We will muster the strength to find the light she placed in each of us and let it lead us out of the darkness of this tremendous loss. She would expect nothing less.

Service and interment will take place on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, at 9:30AM at The Gardens of Boca Raton, 4103 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, Florida 33411. The service will be live-streamed on The Gardens’ website: https://www.thegardens.com/funeral-services/live/. The family will gather privately after the services.
