Viola Cohen, 100, of West Bloomfield, MI, died after sunset on 23 November 2022. The Funeral was held at GRAVESIDE on Monday, 28 November 2022 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated. Born in Detroit on May 1,1922 as Viola (Vi) Jean Shulman, she graduated from Central High. Vi married the love of her life, Sol Cohen, in 1942 in Tampa, Florida, while Sol was in the service and was happily married for 67 years. Together, along with Sol's brother Irv (and his wife Evy), they proudly owned the Princeton Shop men's and boy's clothing stores in Detroit and West Bloomfield. Viola was the beloved wife of the late Sol Cohen. Loving mother of Steven (Toni) Cohen, Ronald (Christie) Cohen and Jeffrey Cohen. Cherished grandmother of Trent Cohen, April Cohen, Heather Cohen, Muir (Jennifer) Cohen, Jasmine Cohen, Sequoia Kristal-Cohen and Cady Kristal-Cohen. Adoring great grandmother of Kenan Joseph Cohen. Dear sister of the late Mildred Rubin, the late Eve Greenspon, the late Lee Roland and the late Edward Schuman.
