Eugene DrikerEugene Driker, 85, of Detroit, Michigan, died after sunset on 29 September 2022. The Funeral was held at Temple Emanu-El, 14450 W 10 Mile Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237 on Sunday, 02 October 2022 at 10:30 AM . Rabbi Matthew Zerwekh and Cantorial Soloist Kelly Onickel officiated. Click here to watch the live video Family and friends of Eugene Driker will gather for shiva at the residence, 1525 Wellesley Drive, Detroit, Michigan 48203 On Sunday immediately following the interment service until 8:00 p. m. On Monday from 2:00-8;00 p.m. On Tuesday from 12:00-5:00 p.m. On Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Religious services will take place Sunday, Monday and Thursday at 7 p.m. Family members include: His devoted and cherished wife of 63 years, Elaine Driker. His beloved children Elissa (Jay Zerwekh) Driker and Stephen (Jennifer) Driker and his son-in-law Perry Ohren. His treasured grandchildren Charlie, Caleb, Rebecca, Sophie, and Emma, who knew him as Zeyde. Eugene was the son of the late Charles and and the late Frances Driker. He was the brother of the late Ruth Driker (Irv) Kroll and the late Jack (Trudy) Driker. Eugene is also survived by a loving circle of extended family and a world of friends. Eugene’s two great loves were his family and his work. His contributions to cultural and philanthropic institutions and his dedication to the legal profession were matched by his heartfelt devotion to his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family and close friends. His generous spirit and wry humor will be missed by all who knew him.
