Grauer (nee Lappin), of Huntington Woods and Novi, Michigan, passed away on July 27, 2022. Born on March 1, 1940 and raised in Detroit, she graduated from Mumford High School and the University of Michigan, where she majored in history and French. Following marriage to Rick, she taught French to 4th and 5th graders in suburban Washington, D.C. for several years, later returning to Huntington Woods, MI with Rick to raise three children. When the youngest started kindergarten, she resumed her formal education, securing a master's degree in social work (community organization) from Wayne State University. She then served as a major gifts officer for many years, first for Henry Ford Hospital and later for the School of Architecture at University Detroit Mercy. Enid’s personality, communication skills and persuasiveness enabled her to develop cordial relationships with prospective donors, both individuals and foundations. Finding and generating interest by prospective donors in worthy projects gave Enid great satisfaction. Enid loved nature, adventure trips, gardening, cooking, reading and listening to classical music. She is survived by her husband Rick; daughter Tresa (Avi), son David (Carolyn) and daughter Diane (Danny), along with six grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
