Family members include:
Beloved wife of 72 1/2 years of Daniel Lublin. Cherished mother of Bruce (partner Laura Murad) Lublin, Nina (Howard) Levy, Bennett (Karen) Lublin, and Manette (Marshall) Klein. Dear mother-in-law of Marsha Lublin. Proud grandmother of Edana Lublin, Brandon (Roanna) Lublin, Ryan Lublin, Justin (Michelle) Levy, Matthew (Amanda) Levy, Jessica Levy, Jaime Lublin, Jenna Lublin, Morgan (Adam) Weiner, and Devin (Cody) Farber. Adoring great-grandmother of Jared, Rebecca, Jessica, Sydney, Adrien, Max, Madison, Eliana, and Levi. Treasured daughter of the late Dorothy and the late Edward Sklar. Loving sister of the late Lila (the late Lawrence) Raskin. Dear sister-in-law of Phyllis Lublin, the late Sheldon Lublin, and the late Dorothy Gichtin.

Helene (Wife/Mom/Granny) was born in Detroit, Michigan in the Palmer Park area. She attended Hampton Elementary, Durfee Junior High and Central High School. She had a wonderful childhood surrounded by loving parents and an adoring big sister. At age 15, Helene was goofing around with friends when she was jokingly pushed toward the street. Her husband-to-be stopped his car quickly and “balled” them all out. As Daniel went on to say, "she took a liking to me", and so began a love affair that lasted over 76 years. While Daniel worked 3 jobs, often coming home after dark, Helene managed all household responsibilities and took great care of their 4 children.

Helene was a kind person with a gentle soul. She was strong willed, fearless, opinionated and smart. She enjoyed dancing and frequenting Cotillion balls with her husband, even attending tap dancing classes and performing a recital in her 50's! She loved dining out at the finest restaurants, always excited to try something new. She excelled at baking (pies were her specialty) and cooking dinner most evenings and Shabbat Friday’s in the dining room with family. Helene appreciated the arts, entertainment, world news, sports and travel. She attended the DIA, DSO and Fisher Theatre often, traveled every continent on ocean and river cruises, experienced an African safari, golfed in a league setting for 30 years, gardened (was always willing to get her hands dirty) and even read the sports page daily. She planned many trips with the full family (20+ members) and loved hosting for the holidays, decorating table settings with magazine elegance displaying art pieces collected from around the world.

Everywhere Helene went she lit up a room with style and grace. She was generous and thoughtful, often donating to charities that were out-of- the-norm (she once paid for a 3rd-world child's surgery). Helene was a Sinai Guild Lifetime Member and participated in numerous other organizations. She always taught her family to give without expecting anything in return, and was a great example to all those around her.

She had a loving and special bond with each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of all, she loved her husband and supported him through their years together. Truly a wonderful life!
