Vicky Buckfire
Vicky Buckfire, 85, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, died on 16 June 2022. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Sunday, 19 June 2022 at 10:00 AM . The family of Vicky Buckfire will be gathering through the evening of Monday, June 20 at the residence of Daniel Buckfire, 4375 Barchester Drive, Bloomfield Hills MI 48302. The family will be receiving visitors at the residence on Sunday after 3:00 pm and on Monday after 4:00 pm. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday evenings. On Tuesday evening, shiva will be held on Zoom. Family members include: Beloved wife of 51 years of the late David Buckfire. Cherished mother of Dr. Lisa (Joel) Elconin, Larry (Dr. Kelly Krueger) Buckfire, and Daniel (companion Marla Worthing) Buckfire. Dear mother-in-law of the late Lori Haber Buckfire. Proud grandmother of Dayna (Garet Zatz) Elconin, Emily Elconin, Kylie, Jack and Toby Buckfire, and Hayden Buckfire. Loving sister of the late Eva (the late Irv) Simons. Devoted daughter of the late Layos Weisberger and the late Boszi (the late Zoltan) Kreisman. Vicky was a child survivor of the holocaust. She was an admired teacher in the Oak Park school district. Vicky went to law school in her late 30’s and became licensed to practice law when she was 41. She was a well-respected attorney who practiced law with her husband David for over thirty years.
