Eileen Mulesia Mutiso
In Loving Memory of Eileen Mulesia Mutiso, who passed away on 11 April, 2022. Eileen Mulesia Mutiso, born in September 1960, in Nairobi, Kenya–the 4th child of Grace Njoki Mutiso and Jonathan Mulwa Mutiso. She was educated in Nairobi at Pangani Girls High School, Kentucky State University, and Syracuse University. Eileen was compassionate, kind, and passionate about education and creating a better world. She was a catalyst for change– ready to reimagine the world around her, eager to lend a hand to help build it. In life, there was never a mountain too high, or a road amassed with potholes, that stood in her way. She saw a path when the road appeared rocky, and created one, when one didn’t exist. Eileen was a passionate tennis player, adventurer, and gardener with a true passion for life. Eileen was the beloved wife of Sam Nirenberg. Devoted mother of Sara Nirenberg and Jonathan Nirenberg. Loving sister of Mathew Mutiso, Jeanes Wanjiru Mutiso, Francis Mutiso, Penny Njeri Mutiso, Dr. Andrew Mutiso M.D. and the late Esther Mutiso. Cherished sister-in-law of Regina Mutisya and Ilana Nirenberg. Adored daughter of the late Grace Njoki Mutiso and the late Johnson Mulwa Mutiso. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The Funeral will be held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 25 April 2022 at 11:30 AM.
