Frances Kaufman, in her 96th year, wife of the late Saul Kessler, daughter of the late Lou and Anne Kaufman, sister of the late Arnold Kaufman, a proud daughter of Detroit. Niece of the late Harry, Ira, J. Kelly, and Norman Kaufman, Lillian Mayer and Minnie Rosenthal. May her memory be for a blessing.

An independent thinker who believed self-censure was overrated, she moved to New York where she worked as a model and on the political campaigns of Democrats, including Ramsey Clark. She worked at both "New York Magazine" and "Esquire," for decades. She loved the theater, had impeccable style, and a severe allergy to nuts, seeds, injustice and bigotry. She died happy knowing Donald Trump was no longer in office. Burial in Detroit. Memorial in New York to be scheduled at a later date.
