FUNERAL DETAILS
Rozanne MeklirRozanne Meklir, 93, of Oak Park, Michigan, died on 21 March 2022. The Funeral was a private family service . Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Jerome "Jerry" Meklir. Cherished mother of Susie Ambrose (Adam Orenstein), Rochelle Salasnek, and Cheryl (Russ) Wells. Loving Nana of Alex and Max Ambrose, Tess Meklir (Ben Newton), Reed Dean, and Andie Salasnek. Dearly loved by nieces, nephews, and those 100+ that received her holiday and birthday calls. Survived by her beloved dog, "Charlie Brown." Sister of the late Sol Buttner, the late Evelyn Meeron, and the late Tickey Gerendasy. Devoted daughter of the late Ben and the late Freda Buttner. "Oy, do I have a mouth on me," she liked to say. That mouth was the source of wit and sass and amusing observations that endeared her to all who knew her for 93 years. Rocky - as Rozanne was generally known - had a keen intelligence and a refreshing willingness to speak her mind. "Your wife is a saint to put up with you," she might (accurately) say, though she could be equally unstinting with her praise. "My daughters are the best, I don't know what I'd do without them." The truth is that Rozanne was the archetype from whom her daughters got their fine qualities. She really was the irreplaceable "best," and she will be sorely missed.
