Susan F. (Schlafer) Katz, 80, of Southfield, Michigan, died on 25 August 2021. The Funeral was held at Graveside at Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale MI 48220 on Friday, 27 August 2021 at 11:00 AM . Rabbi Joshua Bennett officiated. The family welcomes friends on Friday afternoon, August 27th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Temple Israel Outdoor Pavilion. The synagogue is located at 5725 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323. Guests are kindly asked to please wear a mask at the funeral service and at shiva. Susan F. (Schlafer) Katz, 80, of Southfield, died August 25, 2021 after sunset. She led an active life, enjoyed the company of many dear friends and loved her family. She is survived by her children, Michael (Allison) Schatz, Lisa (Richard) Broder, Rick (Monica) Schatz; adored grandmother of Avery, Aaron, Alden, and Becket Schatz; Rachel (Daniel) Kessler and Erica Broder; Ryan, Marlee and Mia Schatz. She was the beloved daughter of the late Leonard and Doris Schlafer and sister of the late Howard Schlafer. Susan will be greatly missed and remembered for the caring and special person she was.
