Rita Elken, 97, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 17 March 2021. The Funeral was a private family graveside service on Sunday, 21 March 2021 at 11:00 AM . Rabbi Joseph Krakoff officiated. Loving grandmother of Adam, Seth, and Rachel Elken; and Brett Elken, Lauren (Ryan) Soria, and Lindsey (Mike) Mack. Adored great-grandmother of Madison, Lucas, and Molly. Sister of the late Senta (the late Hy) Shenkman. Stepsister of the late Elsie (the late Wilbert) Simkowitz. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 25 people inside and 50 at graveside.
