Catherine "Kitty" Garrison![]() Catherine "Kitty" Garrison, 96, of Southfield, Michigan, died on 28 January 2021. The Funeral was a Private Family Service on Sunday, 31 January 2021 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny officiated. Click ![]() Catherine S. “Kitty” Garrison (nee Starler) was born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 30, 1924. After graduating from Central High School in 1942 she went to work as a secretary for the U.S. Army Ordnance Division in the Fisher Building. She met Morris Garrison on a blind date, and they were married on September, 29, 1946. They had three children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren while living in Detroit, Southfield, North Miami Beach, and Boynton Beach. Morris died in 2002. She is survived by her children (Howard and Ellen Garrison, Marc and Linda Garrison, Lori and Martin Lonky), her grandchildren (Aaron and Andrea Garrison, Trevor and Lyndsi Garrison, Blake Solomon, Brittany Solomon, Rachel Garrison and Federico Picca, and David Garrison) and great grandchildren (Ella Garrison, Will Garrison, Emersyn Garrison, and Freya Garrison). Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 25.
