Ella Baker
Ella Baker, 95, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 29 July 2020. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Sunday, 02 August 2020 at 10:00 AM . Click  to watch a video of the recorded service.Family members include: Beloved wife of the late Willard G. Baker. Cherished mother of Esther Salamon (David Stephenson). Lovingly remembered by many friends. Ella was a very keen gardener for most of her life and particularly loved flowers (never fake, always real and seasonal). She was instrumental in the garden at Hechtman which she created when she lived there. Ella had a very inquisitive mind and was well-informed as to what was happening in the world. She never shied away from expressing with conviction her points of view. Ella was always thinking of ways to improve the lives of those she knew. She made a positive impact on everyone she met and will be dearly missed. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 36.
