Family members include:
Cherished sister of Audrey Goldstein Wolfman and the late Richard Wolfman. Beloved aunt of Nancy Padilla and Manuel Padilla Benitez. Adoring great-aunt of Julie Shulman and Amy Shulman. Loving surrogate mother of Elizabeth Palchik Allen, Susan Hersh, and Mindy Saffran Russo. Proud surrogate grandmother of Malka Tabaire, Jennifer Hersh, and Alec Hersh. Devoted daughter of the late Solomon and the late Joan Goldstein.

She holds degrees from Cornell University with a BS in Nursing and Yale University with a Masters in Maternal Child Health. She was a pillar of the community at Temple Beth Emeth of Ann Arbor, an active member of their sisterhood and Hadassah, and a member of the University of Michigan Musical Society where she ushered for concerts and events at the auditorium. She was a very involved member of International Neighbors helping new citizens acclimate to Ann Arbor with clothing, housing, and language skills. A renowned maternity and parenting expert, she helped raise hundreds of babies and tutor new parents into becoming the best caregivers they can be through her in-home lessons. She will be remembered as a loving aunt, friend, sister, and surrogate mother to many.

Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 36.

For now, in-person funeral attendance will be limited to only immediate family. Otherwise, funerals may be viewed live and recorded on chapel websites.

Together, we thank the community for understanding during this unusual and challenging time.
