Kala Aronoff Lyngklip

Kala Aronoff Lyngklip, 88, of Franklin, Michigan, died on 08 April 2020.

The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Tuesday, 14 April 2020 at 12:00 PM .

Rabbi Joshua Bennett officiated. Beloved wife of Ole Jr., husband of 59 years. Cherished mother of Ole III, Ian and Julie. Devoted grandmother of Laurel and Kyra. Beloved daughter of Esther and Joseph and loving sister and sister-in-law of Eddie, Rose, Sol, Lil, Sam, Hilda, Alice and Al. Dear aunt of Evan, Lee (Jeep), Harriet, Rick, Marion, Rhona, Ezra, Allen, Sandra, John, Tom, Ann, David and Peter, and beloved of their spouses and their many generations. Loving god-parent to Deborah and Olivia.

Kala was first and foremost an educator, a teacher devoted to bringing learning, professionalism, and understanding to individuals and communities most in need.

To honor Kala’s lifelong commitment to students, teachers, and accessible education, a special endowment is being established in her name at the University of Michigan, School of Education, where her own higher education was made possible in 1950s through the generous programs and charitable giving of others. The family gratefully invites all to contribute, and to continue to remember and support Kala’s vision, and important programs that grow strong educators and students, in their annual giving:

Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 10, for at least the month of April.

For now, in-person funeral attendance will be limited to only immediate family. Otherwise, funerals may be viewed live and recorded on chapel websites.

Together, we thank the community for understanding during this unusual and challenging time.
