Irene Astrein, 92, of formerly of Huntington Woods, Michigan, died on 07 April 2020. The Funeral was A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Wednesday, 08 April 2020 at 3:00 PM . Irene Astrein, 92, formerly of Huntington Woods, died April 7, 2020. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce (Denise) Astrein, Gary (Jody) Astrein, Richard (Debbie) Astrein, Craig (Elayne) Astrein, and Ken Astrein (Margie Schnyder); grandchildren David (Staci) Astrein, Jeffrey Astrein, Kyle (Ian) Driver, Nolan (Jen) Astrein, and Steven and Carly Astrein. Irene (Duci) and the beloved late Cyril Astrein were married for 46 years. She was born in Akron, Ohio, grew up in Detroit, and was raised like a sister along side her beloved cousin, Dolly Weinstein. Irene will be lovingly remembered by many other cousins and family members. Metro Detroit’s Jewish funeral homes have agreed that families should follow the directive of Centers for Disease Control and restrict the size of gatherings to no more than 10, for at least the month of April.
