Family members include:
Beloved wife of 63-1/2 years of Dr. Milton Simmons. Cherished mother of Melodie (Dr. Alan) Solway, Harlan (Bonni) Simmons, and the late Dr. Bonnie Sherr. Loving grandma of Andrew Solway, Matthew Solway, Ashley Simmons, Ryan Simmons, and Eric Solway. Devoted sister of the late Irven (the late Eileen) Leider, the late Schifra Henry, the late Mitchell Leider, and the late Goldie Leider.

Over forty years ago, Edith placed her seat belt on as she looked out at Ben Gurion Airport. She was leaving Israel for home in the USA. Her emotions were mixed as she did not want to leave. Inwardly, she felt that Israel was now her home. She mentioned to me time and time again how she felt, that what she read and saw was all there in that remarkable country. She wanted to go back! Now her spirit is returning to join her daughter Bonnie's mobile intensive care unit ambulance with hers in serving this nation medically. She has become a double patriot for the love of Israel and the USA.
