Edith Fried, 94, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on 16 November 2019. The Funeral was held at The David Oppenheim Memorial Chapel at Machpelah Cemetery, 21701 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 on Sunday, 17 November 2019 at 3:00 PM . Rabbi Megan Brudney officiated. The family of Edith Fried will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, November 17 at the residence of Steven and Barbara Kohler, 6728 Country Club Lane, West Bloomfield MI 48322. Family members include: Beloved wife of the late George Abraham Fried. Cherished mother of Steven (Barbara) Kohler. Loving Nana of Jay (Stephany) Kohler and Ian Kohler. Proud great-grandmother of Alexis Kohler. Also survived by George's son Michael (Barbara) Fried, their children Alison (Sean) Slyman, Russell Fried, Ryan Fried, and the late Rachel Fried; Alison and Sean's son, Liam Slyman and daughter Kate Slyman. Devoted daughter of the late Moe and the late Sadie Sussman. Dear sister of the late Ben (the late Jean) Sussman, and the late Herman "Hy" (the late Tina) Sussman. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
