David A. Schwartz, 71, of Huntington Woods, Michigan, died on 24 August 2019. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 26 August 2019 at 12:00 PM . Rabbi Tamara Kolton officiated. The family of David A. Schwartz will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, August 28 at the residence, 13128 Ludlow, Huntington Woods MI 48070. The phone number is 248-542-5893. Friends are welcome to visit on Monday immediately following the interment and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Born January 18th, 1948 to the late Herman & Esther Schwartz in Detroit. Beloved Husband of Joan (Blumenthal) Schwartz, proud Father of son Jeff Pike & daughter-in-law Melissa Pike, son Greg Pike and daughter Emily Schwartz and son-in-law Alec Richardson. Doting Pops to grandchildren, Noah, Megan, Lucy & Elliott Pike. Devoted Brother of Diane Harris & brother-in-law Danny Harris and late Bernard Schwartz. Endearing Son-in-Law of the late Flora & Gerald Blumenthal. He was survived by many loving sisters-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and great friends, including all of his “Tennis & Golf Company Family.” Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel. David provided endless joy and generosity to the many communities he built and supported. Over an incredibly active lifetime, he served his country in Vietnam, opened and ran the Tennis & Golf Company for over 40 years, and dedicated himself to many charitable organizations, primarily participating in MS & Make-A-Wish Team Alex bike rides. Of everything he did in his life, his greatest joy was his family. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of David A.
