Sam "Sonny" Taub, 89, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of West Bloomfield, MI, died on 13 April 2019.

The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday, 16 April 2019 at 1:00 PM .

Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated.

The family of Sam "Sonny" Taub will be gathering through the evening of Wednesday, April 17 at the residence of Paul and Joan Feldman, 32097 Olde Franklin Drive, Farmington Hills MI 48334. The phone number is 248-539-8111.

Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Sam (Sonny) Taub passed away on April 13, 2019 after living a long and fulfilling life. He was born in Detroit in 1930. He was the son of the late William and Sarah Taub and was preceded in death by his brothers Morris, Mark, and Alex. Sam is survived by his devoted wife Marilyn (Micki) Taub (Feldman), stepchildren Eric Shaw and Karen Shulman, and several nieces and nephews.

Sam was a lifelong sports enthusiast, as a scholarship athlete at the University of Detroit, Mumford High School Athletic Director, player, coach, referee, and spectator. A natural athlete, you may have seen him on the fields, courts, and golf courses. Sam was inducted into the Michigan Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. Throughout his life, he maintained relationships with many teammates, opponents, and players who loved to reminisce with him about their playing days.

Sam will be missed and forever loved by all whose lives he touched.
