Geraldine Posen Schwartz, 82, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, died on 04 March 2019. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Thursday, 07 March 2019 at 2:00 PM . Rabbi Aaron Bergman officiated. The family of Geraldine Posen Schwartz will be gathering through the evening of Sunday, March 10 at the residence of Esther Katzenstein and Joe Maan, 21660 Riverview Drive, Beverly Hills MI 48025. The family will be gathering on Thursday immediately following the interment through the evening, on Friday from 12:00-5:00 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 12:00 p.m. The family will not be gathering on Saturday. Religious services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Geraldine earned her graduate degree at Wayne State University with a Master's degree in music. She was a published composer whose works were performed in Michigan and elsewhere. She is survived by her son, Robert (Robyn) Schwartz; daughter, Esther (Joe Maan) Katzenstein; grandchildren, Dr. Joshua (Dr. Sarah Pettit) Katzenstein, Laurin (Brandon) Jozlin, Stephanie Schwartz, Megan Katzenstein, Jared Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Eleanor Katzenstein and Remy Jozlin. She is predeceased by her parents, the late Albert and the late Libbie Posen, and her brother, the late Ronald Posen. She was a member of "Tuesday Musicale," "Birmingham Musicale," "Mu Phi Epsilon," and "Music Study Club." She was a life member of the Sisterhood of Adat Shalom Synagogue, and the Women of Jewish National Fund.
