Dr. Benjamin Jay Shumaker, 98, of Boca Raton, Florida, died on 28 September 2018. The Funeral was held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL - GARDEN CHAPEL on Sunday, 30 September 2018 at 1:30 PM . Family members include: Beloved husband of the late Shana Ruth Shumaker. Cherished father of Dr. Bryan (Linda) Shumaker, Dr. Robert (Dr. Miriam) Shumaker, and Andrea (Dr. Charles) Gonik. Loving grandfather of Scott (Mirella) Shumaker, Lauren (Tomer) Meir, Dr. Jennifer (Alexander) Gonik Chester, Jay Gonik, Tali Gonik, Bradley (Effie) Gonik, Samantha Shumaker (fiancé Sam Goldberg), and Andrew Shumaker. Devoted great-grandfather of Ariel Tzvi Gonik, Noam Raphael Gonik, Erez Chester, Koby Chester, Eli Chester, Arielle Meir, Aviv Meir, and Amara Shumaker. Adored son of the late Lena and the late Sam Shumacher. Michigan shiva will begin immediately following interment on Sunday through the evening at the residence of Dr. Bernard and Cookie Gonik, 21500 Constitution, Southfield MI 48076. Shiva will continue in Florida. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Dr. Benjamin Jay Shumaker may do so by making a contribution to: A Charity of one's choice |
